Different owners have different wealth, Brentford now are garunteed at least £160m every season they stay in the PL plus their owner is dogshit rich, The others have serious money (Hundreds of Millions) and they will have proper business plans because you don't that get rich without that, These are the people you want to invest in a club, Not the sharks mentioned at other clubs where its back fired.
'Dogshit rich'??!!

And we were so close to being one of these, lest we forget
We were but now that is nearly two decades since, We have learnt lessons from it, We will never forget it but we move forward, We are unrecorgnisable from those days.

It's their money, They can do whatever they want with it, Its not illegal, If it was they would be banned at the very least, Also how do we know they've all spent millions above what they've generated?
The secondary issue is how much 'sugar daddyism' distorts finances across the leagues.
The whole financial set up of football has encouraged recklessness for decades.
And that leads to more and more charlatans taking advantage and disappointment for those supporters whose clubs go the wall.

It is indeed up to them what they do with their money.

Can’t be bothered to search for other clubs but here’s an article on FGR
https://www.punchline-gloucester[dot]com/articles/aanews/forest-green-rovers-record-losses-of-785k-despite-a-rise-in-turnover

As the article says for many years losses were covered by Vince acquiring equity. Much of their income also coming from Vince's company. Another article I’ve seen said they made a loss of £2million for the season they got promoted to the Football League.

The only charlatans who get hold of clubs are the ones with either no money or buy the club for a £1, Who's fault is that? I'd say the governing bodies All the ones I've mentioned have money and this is the life we live in, Some have loads and some don't, You can't do anything about it, If some Governing body starts to tell owners how much and on what they can spend their own money on, They'd say "No Thanks" and leave, While that would get rid of the charlatans it would also get rid of the vast majority of good owners.

And again its their money. We all know FGR are probably in an area not known for its football and the size of the town (5k?) really can't sustain a proffesional team but this bloke decided to put his money where his mouth is and has plans to build a new stadium, Make it sustainable energy wise etc, I do honestly think he's hoping to be a "Trailblazer" in his business and using FGR as an example of how to run a eco friendly club or business, If it works he could make loads out of it.

Mathew Benham is the owner of Brentford. At a net worth of £3million, yeah by most standards hes "dogshit rich" but in Premier League terms he is basically flat broke.

Could be worse. Barcelona are 1.6 billion in debt.
Typical Exeweb exaggeration as usual. It's only a trifling £1.15 billion. Get a grip.
