Real "Sugar Daddies" are at the likes of Brentford, Portsmouth, Ipswich etc, These guys bought the clubs and have the money to back it up too.
For the time being. Their pockets are not seriously deep however, so none of the above will be able to sustain it in the PL. To put it into context Sheikh Mansour (Man City) is worth ~$22bn. Mathew Benham is only worth ~£3m. To highlight this gulf in funds, Mansour is 7333 times richer than Benham.

Different owners have different wealth, Brentford now are garunteed at least £160m every season they stay in the PL plus their owner is dogshit rich, The others have serious money (Hundreds of Millions) and they will have proper business plans because you don't that get rich without that, These are the people you want to invest in a club, Not the sharks mentioned at other clubs where its back fired.

If anyone suggests that ECFC would be better off with a "sugar-daddy" i will point them in the direction of this article plus Macclesfield, Bury, Swindon Russell and Lewis etc!
Swindon didn't do too bad.
They went up in our place.
OK they were then relegated but they have a good squad again this season.

Swindon under Power were reported to be £15M in debt, mostly financed by other peoples money. Not exactly sure how you rate the squad they have thrown together as good, unless you are talking the one notable player they have signed ?

Lower league clubs don't have "Suger Daddies" If it were true then those people would have money to throw at clubs, That's the real use of that term, What lower league clubs get are shisters who lie, An inifectule fit and proper test and a previous owner who is so dam desperate to get rid of a club they believe any shark that comes along. There are loads of decent private owners, Don't tar them all with the same brush
So what are the Radford's, Dale Vince and Peter Lim if they are not sugar daddies. You may not like them, you may not like how difficult they make it for other clubs to compete and it's not clear how sustainable their clubs will be when they stop pumping money in but they appear to be up front about what they are doing.

They're just businessman, FGR for instance are trying to be ahead of the game in "Enviromental" things, Like Vegan food, A new stadium made from sustainable materials etc, He still wants to make money and he can afford to lose some for long term gain, Its called having a lost leader, Loads do it, Losing money in a lower league team is the norm, Its just these people can afford to lose money, Unlike those of Bury, Maccelesfield etc, They never had any money in the first place.

Those clubs are spending millions of pounds more than they generate. If those costs are covered by the owners then those owners can reasonably be described as sugar daddies even if they as rich businessmen “can afford to lose money”.

Swindle'em had ONE season in the sun. Then were found out (f**k me, even Sweenz saw through them and turned them down). Lucky for them a "white knight" rode in on his (debt laden?) charger to save them.
A bit like L2 Bolton before them.

But unlike "dead-and-Bury'd" or poor old Macc'n'cheese who had no such saviours.

It's their money, They can do whatever they want with it, Its not illegal, If it was they would be banned at the very least, Also how do we know they've all spent millions above what they've generated?

And we were so close to being one of these, lest we forget
