But they want to get shot of a further 10 who are contracted for next season. Good luck with that....
Yep, if Morticia gets his way they will only have eight players left from last season.

including Jonathan Obika. Is he worh a punt? Still only 31 fits the profile of having struggled in recent seasons but may have a point to prove?

It goes back to the old issue of what defines a big club. PAFC get attendances at least twice of what we do but at the same time they've never achieved anything, which means despite being potentially bigger than us they're also a much bigger failure.
Like all City fans happy to see Argiggle fail but to be fair they have achieved more than us over the decades.

A few Championships and promotions as well an FA Cup semi final all be it (unlike City in our 80/81 run) they were very lucky with the draw and if memory serves me correctly did not draw anyone of any note until the 5th or even possibly 6th round.

Throughout my life time they generally seemed to be have been too good for third tier football but not quite good enough for the second tier so given the size of the City it could be argued that overall they have under performed.

Argyle's USP and only claim to fame is being the Club from the largest city in Europe never to have played in their country's top flight ! GUFFAW ! :ROFLMAO:

The problem with the janners is that they genuinely think they are better than they are, they get bigger crowds than us and in hallet and Schumacher they have a couple of good people and they have finally recognised that youth production is the way forward and they got a guy in from Everton who seems to know such stuff, although they have probably seen our academy and like us have recognised that producing home grown players is a lot easier than signing players who won’t relocate to Britain’s ocean city.so fair play to them for that, but many of their supporters cannot believe that we are now in the same league as them and it rankles them a lot
