The Caine Mutiny 1954. Starring Humphrey Bogart, José Ferrer, Van Johnson, Robert Francis, and Fred MacMurray. It was based on Herman Wouk’s Pulitzer Prize-winning 1951 novel of the same name. Renowned for the ball bearing shuffle by the neurotic Queeg played by Bogie . 10/10

Dune (2021). I've never read the book, I feel that I've only had a superficial look at the story, and much is not fully understandable. This is clearly a complex story but seems overlong to me. The visuals are great! 5/10.

Watched this last night in the Odeon Leicester Square. Fully reclining seats and a bar. It's great to watch a film with a glass of malt whisky in your hand. The sound quality was immense and listening to the thopters was quite something!
Rewatched it at home, and with the subtitles on. Made a lot more sense and I was harsh marking it as 5/10. So 7.5/10 would be my new score. Need a bigger tele!

Some films definitely need watching more than once to appreciate them fully. I too wasn’t overly taken by Dune, you’ve prompted me to take my own advice and revisit it some time.

I think it's a film that needs to be watched on a bigscreen. The bigger the better, with boom boxes aplenty. I watched it at home and was extremely disappointed.

The Hans Zimmerman score was perfect. He creates some great music for films.

Didn’t come over well on my wife’s 50 inch screen. The screen in my study is too small to comment on. Maybe one of the new 70 inch ones would do it justice?
