How does it compare with Operation Daybreak (1975) where Heydrich was played by Anton Diffring ? Martin Shaw was in it too. Assuming you have seen that one of course.

There is no doubt at all that he was a very, very, bad, bad bast*rd.
Hard to compare Al as this one has had a big budget thrown at it and films of WW2 nowadays show more graphic content than back in the day. The actor who plays Heydrich looks like a cold person and does the job well, Difference from the 70's film is we see his rise through the SS. I saw it on Amazon prime, If you have that give it a go, I found it a good film to watch on a wet Sunday afternoon

Sabrina (1995) Harrison Ford ~ Julia Ormond ~ Greg Kinnear

The chauffeur's daughter has a secret crush on her Dad's bosses younger brother which could potentially hamper a big business deal.

As Far As My Feet Will Carry Me(2001)

Loosely based on the alleged true story of the escape from a Soviet gulag in Siberia of a German POW in the late 1940s & his trek across Central Asia to Iran.

Interesting with a great story line.

8/10. In German with subtitles.

I've just finished watching the final three episodes of Netflix, Black Mirror.

Sad to see such quality decline over multiple series. I'm pleased SE5 is the final.

Apollo 11

Documentary charting the moon landing mission of 1969. Put together with remastered footage and audio from the time, with no Morgan Freeman style voiceover or sweeping score, this could have come across as dry and nerdy. Instead it's utterly compelling from start to finish. A nerd's wet dream.

8.1/10

And still in Documentary mode

The Dawn Wall

Climbing documentary following two friends as they attempt the titular Dawn Wall, a sheer granite face straight up Yosemite's El Capitan mountain. Like the equally great Free Solo this will have you in awe of the things humans will put themselves through to realise a goal. I could happily binge a dozen climbing docs in a row if anyone has any recommendations.

7.9/10

The wife and son went to see Le Mans '66 on Monday night. They were hugely impressed by the film. The rest of us will have to wait until Friday 15th November to see it.

The Aeronauts. Story about two intrepid balloonists, one wanting to study the weather, the other wanting to go to a great height. Relatively entertaining, even if the script wasn't great, and you don't mind heights! 6/10.

I saw this tonight and I concur. Wasn't all that impressed with Eddie Redmayne but Felicity Jones' character had something about her at least.

I thought it was brilliant (y) Such a refreshing change to be allowed to watch something without being told/nudged about how to feel. Found it oddly emotional/moving for what could have been a very dry film.
