Expecting a few players to be released this season. Thought it would be worthy of it's own thread rather than clogging up L2 news.

That's it so far, I'll post them as they get announced. I really can't see players signing elsewhere at the moment, what a crazy limbo we're in! Must be tough for a lot of players with families, mortgages etc and the uncertainty of having employment any time soon

Being released is always an uncertain time for lower division players, many scared that they'll have to drop in to non league on lower or part time wages, but now it must be extremely anxious knowing that you are out of a job, and unlikely to get another one in the short term. Many footballers have only ever played football and may not have the skill set required to earn good money doing other things.

Over 6 clubs that’s an average of 12 per club.
Quite a clear out and no doubt al lot more to follow.
The lockdown is certainly hitting football hard like virtually every part of society
