Yep, both start, now cup tied.

But their one month loans were announced on 8 October. City's FACup first round date is likely to be Saturday 7 November. So they will still be at, and playing for, Chippenham that weekend. And, at the risk of being misrerabilist , by the time they return we may already be out of the FACup.....

Good news that Jordan is going to get some game time. That will give him the best chance of being fit and sharp in a month's time, when the toll of Sat-Tues-Sat games for 8 weeks continuously will really begin to stretch the squad (even though there's now plenty of competition in central defence.

It is a tough time to get our youngsters out on loan with no football below conference south. Normally we would be looking to get our second year scholar's out on loan at this stage of the season to the likes of Buckland or Barnstaple.

Chippenham's games suspended for 2 weeks, not good timing for Jordan!

Gutting. And there is a meeting soon to decide whether to bin the rest of the season in National Leagues North and South....

A real blow this Covid to City's strategy of developing young players in lower league loans.

The game time with Chippenham would have been useful for his development, but with the National League being suspended that wasn't going to happen. So, good to see him make his league début today, coming on as a sub for Randall on 83 minutes.

Not sure if McArdle can manage 3 games in a week so there must be a chance Jordan Dyer starts on Tuesday. If so, we could see an all Academy back 4, though presumably the manager would want to find a way to play at least one of his more experienced defenders.

Sweeney is back in contention for Tuesday, but I'd expect McArdle to start.

Finally in the squad today but didn't come off the bench.
