Makes sense to get him some game time. Currently behind both Hartridge and Dean and possibly Sweeney, so unlikely to figure, even in the EFL trophy.
Any idea how long for?

One month. Will still be available for the EFL Trophy if needed.

tonight Chippenham away in FA Cup third qualifying round. Game available to watch live for 7.99 - see Chippenham website.

Will City allow Dyer and Smerdon to become cup tied...?

Given our glut of injuries and illness at present, I would not be surprised if we say no!

Covid may hit us, would be imprudent to have people cup-tied IMHO
If we had *that* many players out with Covid that Dyer and Smerdon were in line for a match, we would have to withdraw from the Cup anyway. Like three sides have had to do tonight.

Anyhow, had a quick look at the line-ups on Ebbsfleet's Twitter and it appears Smerdon and Dyer are starters for Chippenham.
