I thought Cheick had a good game against FGR. No sign of a rest needed. If anything, I would argue he needs more minutes playing in the new system the GC is trying to deploy. The more experience he gets, the more he will develop.
I'm relieved that I'm not the only one who thought Cheick played well. However, it's not just him but the whole team who needs to get used to Gary's approach as we've really struggled to get our forwards involved and create many chances in recent home games, (although it's been less of a problem away from home!) To be fair to Gary, though, it's not a new problem and, as Alex admitted in his post-match interview, we often have a problem breaking down teams who stick lots of men behind the ball - even in the second-half of last season we were very reliant on either a bit of Jevani magic or a set-piece goal.

Have we ever brought on a White & Brown at the same time ?
IIRC there was a time when we had three colours for surnames in the team/squad - was it Blue, Brown and Green? Early 60s?

Think we should set up in a snooker ball formation.

I think Joe's chances of making Newcastle's first team next season have been further reduced by the £40m+ signing of Antony Gordon, who plays a similar role/way to Joe
