Commonwealth gold medal, European champion. Can't think of anyone else who has brought more honour and pride through sporting achievement to the city of Exeter in recent times. Pretty inspirational story as well. We could do with some guts and determination like that up at the park. IMO she deserves a civic reception and the freedom of the city more than anyone else I can think of. Top lady.

Agree with your sentiments, she is an inspiration (as a 39 year old fun-runner). She didn't get Commonwealth gold, though. You forgot the Africans, it was bronze.

Yes what an athlete, two tremendous races and fully deserved medals. Perhaps this may help inspire City on Saturday with the 5k race starting in Zurich as City are finalising 3 points in Plymouth, hopefully.
