So the Rotherham Advertiser tells us Jevani's court case will be heard on July 7th. Nice to get your news from a local source :)
Sorry; in reply to your earlier question about the court date, there is the discussion in mid May on pages 107/108 of this thread culminating in Top City Fan saying at post 1072 that it is July 7th.

(PS though the Rotherham Advertiser has it as a Crown Court trial but IIRC it is actually being heard in the Magistrates Court)

For all Devon Live’s [many] faults, it does still have a very good court reporter [who, as it happens, I’m playing golf with tomorrow]. As an aside, the Rotherham Advertiser is, IMO, one of the few remaining half decent local papers, although it’s just been taken over by a big group so this may not last much longer. Coincidentally, it’s editor Andy Mosley is a top bloke, who was previously at the Sidmouth Herald and the Echo, aside from the fact he’s a huge Argyle fan.

I remember Andy from years ago(1995-2000) when he was a regular at the Cavern, we had mutual friends. Yep, a top fella.

Jevani Brown would be a good fit for Matt Taylor for a number of reasons. I would not be surprised if he did turn up at Rotherham.

“Wouldn’t cost too much”

As always, let’s remember Rotherham’s transfer record is £600,000. Nombe in this market is worth double that.

I can definitely see Brown moving there though and Stansfield is actually a bit of a shout too.
Can't see us getting over a million for Nombe, I'd say £750k tops, and even if they paid that it would be a cheap transfer market for Rotherham, getting three top players.

Sam could do a lot better than Rotherham, who will surely struggle again next season. As GC said, we don't need to sell but would listen to sensible offers. £750K does not meet this criteria and if Sam has a good Autumn we could be looking at seven figure offers in the January window.

Not with 6 months left on his contract. Would be lucky to get half a million.

Yes. The Club has a conundrum in terms of Sam. If we are to get a good size fee, assuming that Sam will not sign a contract extension, the Club will have to let him go during this transfer window or risk getting relatively little or no income from the January or the following summer windows. Although the manager has said that we are under no pressure to sell players, I suspect there's a different dynamic, as I say, if Sam doesn't categorically commit to a contract extension (again, assuming, that is what GC would offer).

Have a feeling MT may well be spending a few days back down here in sunny Devon having a chat with one or two individuals

That’ll be Andy - he used to have his own music page in the Echo. Can’t quite recall but think it may have been called Sound Scene?!

I think you’ve nailed it there CJ Phill! There is also a significant (more than 25%) sell on % that will be owed to MK if/when we sell Sam. Which means If we are to sell and make good money, it would need to be this summer.
This is obviously assuming that he will not sign a new contract.
