Probably also a link between him being released and getting his act together I suspect. I guess it jolted him out of his mindset that he was the "next big thing" so getting released forced him to start working hard and listening to advice - doubt any of that would have occurred if he had stayed with us. Something to prove syndrome? Were we wrong about him, is he finally maturing into the footballer we hoped he'd be?
Scored a second half hat-trick for England C earlier today
Maybe we couldn't afford to wait for him to mature Mackster - when we let him go we were a L1 club and he went to a mediocre Conference team.
....or he failed the 'Carlisle Test'.Not a proper chap.
Quite so ..Arrogant little git with little talent. Wouldn't have him back now, despite the problems we will have scoring enxt season.
WE couldn't afford even his big toe now (we are broke) as his value if wayyyyyyyyy beyond our means. At least he pulled his finger out whereas we seemed incapable of getting him on the straight and narrow. Was it his realisation or our failure ??????????Arrogant little git with little talent. Wouldn't have him back now, despite the problems we will have scoring enxt season.
