He's been playing well recently, and in midfield I'm one of his biggest critics

Apparently Craig David is interested in Jake Taylor's story.

Post match interview gives the impression that he is off.

Talks about the club/players but doesn’t use the words I/we etc

Also said it was an honour to play alongside Archie. It did seem to have hints of a finality to it.

I didn’t hear it like that. I hope he stays, I like the midfield duo of Collins and Taylor.

Not enough cutting edge.

Taylor is a good league 2 box to box central midfielder, at times he isn't used properly though, Collins is OK at ticking things over however his play is generally predictable.

The problem is neither can open the opposition up when we really need them to.

Once Law went the creative spark in midfield went with him.

They are not the ideal partnership. Jake is at his best doing box to box, being energetic and some goals thrown in. I think Archie too will be better served with more of a licence to go forward and get around the penalty area but generally he has been the one who has had to sit in front the back four.

I'd like to see a Matt Gill type player come in who can demand the ball and direct the game when the going is tough. We have lacked this kind of player this season, Law was used best mostly further forward. This type of player could then release Archie into a more box to box role and we can see then if he has the craft that Jake lacks. He would have more cover to take more risks.

Jake has been a good player for us. It might be the right time though for both parties to go their separate ways.

I thought he'd sold his house and is off. Where to I wonder.

He could be moving 200 yards up the road !!! Jake's okay by me - I can think of several others I'd like to say bye bye to !!
