Three very good goals from Jake, technically one of our best players imo.

I've been calling for the senior players to step up and the skipper has certainly done that just lately.

Watch and learn Nicky Law.
Our players in the late 20's - Parkes, Sweeney and Taylor - have generally performed pretty well this season. It's the 30-somethings - Atangana, McCardle and Law - who've struggled to have the same impact.

Almost never gets injured as well, a model pro and glad he is club captain.

He scored a red card for the opposition though. Does that count?

Jake Taylor surely is Mr Exeter City

He's the Captain and although a criticism of him would be he doesn't appear vocal enough on the pitch he does lead by example and is prepared to put in those challenges which others shy from. He did have a slow start to the season for his standards but is now up to what we have come to expect. Not the best player on the pitch but surely one of the most committed, end to end midfielder who chips in with the odd goal on the pitch, and off the pitch is so much more, contributes to the media efforts of the club with a column in the Express and echo, https://www.devonlive.com/sport/sport-opinion/exeter-city-fans-couldnt-fail-4718439 generally well written and informative, always positive about the club. Supports other sectors of the club from the Community Trust with raising funds, interaction with supporters and to the Academy All this with a young child, dog and new bride, Jakes blood must bleed red & white. Should he ever move on he will be sorely missed.

Jake Taylor our unsung Hero
