don’t know if he is/was a relative but I went to school with a John Veale who became a good player at local level. I later bumped into him as an officer at the prison.

Jon Veale who ended up as Crediton manager and, I think, is an ex Royal Marine is Jack's dad. I was worried before Jack's release from City that he had inherited his dad's propensity for a crunching tackle.

One day I might block tackle the wheels of a skateboard, but suspect the days when I could have done this without injuring myself are long gone.
