Older codger is not Paul Morrish and it was totally incorrect and improper for Spanky to imply otherwise earlier. Not a good start by the Steering Committee IMO
With an avatar like yours is anyone likely to take you seriously:)

I am certainly not disputing that Mrs Farley played a significant and influential role is securing an outcome that was favourable to ECFC.

Indeed, given the size of the potential judgement, I am sure it was a wise idea to engage specialist legal firepower.
Yes. At the risk of boring the pants of an already bored swathe of Exewebbers, for the sake of accuracy, it is worth reading the entire item you quoted from:-

Exeter City FC wins with St John's

St John’s Chambers are pleased to announce that Barrister Andrew McLaughlin successfully represented Exeter City FC at the recent employment tribunal brought by former manager Ian Huxham.

Mr Huxham had brought the employment tribunal claiming breach of contract and unfair dismissal and was requesting £100,000. The case was originally heard in June 2006 but the ruling was dismissed and the tribunal to be re-run due to a wrongly appointed panel.

Andrew McLaughlin represented Exeter City FC at the re-run of the tribunal which was held 14-19 Feburary. The panel concluded in Exeter City FC’s favour and dismissed Mr Huxham’s claim.

Note that McLaughlin was not representing the club at the first tribunal hearing. Mrs. Farley was on her own.

The thread implies that Rightwing named him.

So, have we worked out the facts yet?

Yes you are right Rae, however Spanky should have not indicated either way in his position within the Steering Committee. I am with OC here and thinks those on the SC should tread very carefully. With power comes responsibility and eventally accountability.

Correct, however Spanky went on to state that O-C's email was public and confirmed A name.

Spanks has now decided he was stupid. Presumably because he wasn't aware his privileged position entitled him to view information not in the public domain?

It's a slippery slope for any forum admin/mods to take. It will spell the end of Exeweb if these 'stupid' events occur too often.

All of Mr Exeweb's hard work and trust will be undone in an instant.

That's harsh. Do you have a personal axe to grind here?

Why, because someone who posts with an agenda chooses not to post with his true identity? This site and many others could do with a dose of honesty...who knows it might just translate to a bit more honesty in the matters associated with our club..

Lol. Yes, course I have.. :'(

No wonder Poults runs out of patience with most on here.

I have, 100% categorically, no axe to grind. OK?
