My first matchday thread. I enjoyed many visits to Portman Road when I lived in East Anglia many years ago, and am looking forward to my first trip to Ipswich in over 50 years. Ipswich were in the first division then and didn’t win so many games so hopefully I can add another game to my list of games that Ipswich don’t win.

Safe travels to all Grecian going to today’s game. Here”s hoping that we can put out a competitive team and enjoy our final away game of the season.

Just saw the goal highlights; I dont think Woods was at fault technically with any of the six goals, but his attitude in so doing was to me appalling. He just strolled around, appearing to not give a sh*t! Quite the worst attitude I've seen from a City keeper in a long time! Did he not want to play, but was told he had to?

I think it’s pretty obvious that GC has always had Gary Woods as next season No1. This might change his mind, he’s not good enough.

Really hope not from what I have seen, Woods is only a back up at best - personally I would get rid unless he is on very low wages. Why not give Harry Lee a chance next week if Blackman unavailable, I know he is young but it’s about experience so he develops.

Just looked at the highlights. Some of the goals really poor defending from us. First goal unstoppable so no complaints other than the goal scorer had too much space and also not sure if the penalty given was justified.
The others….oh dear. Ipswich in attack different class.

Get decent defence in front of Harry and I would agree but would not want his confidence destroyed by slow poor unit that gives him no chance.
Real pity we could not keeps Stubbs and Pond.

For those who want to dwell too much on our defeat, I'd like to add that we got promoted in the same year that we lost 7-1 at home to Chesterfield.

Not sure whether to write that off as Ipswich were so good and we were so many players short of being competitive, or seriously concerned about our lack of fight and our shocking back three performance. Aimson has played at a higher level, but he was made to look non league today.
Good turnout from us with most staying right up until the end. Shame on fans booing the players who bothered to cone over at the end though.

Yeah write it off. Although I have concerns about Aimson myself, not sure he’s been particularly great since we signed him. I know we’ve lauded Gary for his signings but Aimson needs to step his game up next season.
