Yep, I could get it on my phone, then my tablet, but not my laptop

Yes, you can only watch it through one device at a time, trying to connect with a second device and you’ll lose the connection on both. I also believe you need to turn off the Bluetooth on any other unconnected phones or tablets in your household for some reasons.
