I’ve forgotten the names of a trio of Scottish trialists that played in pre season friendly against Tivvy.
I’ve a feeling one of them was kept on at City, one of them was a centre midfielder and truly awful. I’ve a feeling they may have all come from the same team, and for some reason Raith Rovers is in my head. I keep thinking it was Craig Brewster, Steve Crawford and someone else, but I’m likely to be wrong.

I’m not even sure of the decade this was but sure it was pre Tisdale.

Can anyone help?

The Grecian Archive has the goal scorers as McCrystal and Nazha.

I don't think either of these players signed for us, at least I don't remember them.

This article about Brian McCrystal suggests he came to us for a trial but we didn't offer a good enough deal, and seems to have been the catalyst for him returning to Ireland. (He says we were in the Conference, which isn't quite right - but to be honest anyone coming to us from Leeds at the time could be forgiven for thinking we were.)

Not sure who Nazha was, but could be this guy.

The one kept on wouldn't be Dylan Kerr would it? I'm not sure as he signed in August 2001 having previously played for Hamilton Accies.

Thanks Nigel E, I'd found a match report on a Tiverton archive page that provided me that and I've deduced that it wasn't either of them. I could be wrong though.

Rosencrantz, I think Dylan Kerr was later on, but again I may be incorrect.

Yeah, I think it may have been a year or so later looking at it. He stuck in my mind as initially coming on trial from Scotland.

Pretty sure he scored a decent free kick in a 1-1 draw away at Halifax.

Maybe Rory McArdle could contact him if he requires advice on recovery from his recent mishap.
