It would be scary if we did, where we could we be!

What with four players in the top 20 goal scorers as well we just need to build that brick wall

I do think that we are seeing the type of football (except the missed opportunities) that Matt wants to play, and it is exciting stuff long reign King Matt

Wouldn't it be great if we could get promoted and then KMT could have another face off against his predecessor and a localish derby as well in front of a capacity SJP - fingers crossed

It just shows how badly those youngsters want it. We’re going to really coin it with them in the not too distant future. Interesting to see if we go for a proven goalscorer though in the coming transfer window.

If there were any available, surely someone would have already signed them. But who would you drop to make way for said player?

You'd have to say objectively that what we most need is not another goalscorer, but for Randell Williams to rediscover his form from last year and to avoid long term injuries. Then we would be genuine promotion candidates. IMO if we can continue to play like last night a squad of Ward or Maxted, Key or Caprice, Sweeney or McArdle, Parkes or Hartridge, Page or Sparkes, two from Taylor, Atangana and Collins; Law or Jay; Williams or Key; Bowman or Ajose; Randall or Sparkes, with several other good youngsters coming through, is probably as good as any in L2.

Remember when we had problems scoring under Tis and he stated that it was a problem that was easy to solve?

We create a ridiculous amount of opportunities. Last night was actually a really good example, it was brilliant to watch but we had 27 shots on 6... that means 21 decent chances missed!

I still think we will make a move for a forward in January, even as another option.

You rightly start by mentioning Randell Williams. He has become a very frustrating player to watch as a spectator because we (well, certainly I) can see the many attributes he has but, as you point out, this season so far, he seems to have lost some of his promise. My own take on it, for what it's worth, is that he tries too hard. He has an enviable ability to take players on and to dance around them but, to my mind, most of the time, he doesn't know when to stop dancing and pass the ball, inevitably ending up losing it. If only he can learn to do so and to hone his shooting skills when in on goal he will become one hell of a player. He needs, perhaps, to study Josh Key in action!

As the OP shows we do not need to sign a forward, we are not going to be able to get a forward with a better striking record thn Ajose or Bowman, unless we spend big, and we shouldn't be spending at this time.

All thoughts of expenditure should be in case, with all the fixtures, we get injuries in one position, and we can use the loan system as with our GK.

The yoof will do otherwise as they've shown in the other comps admirably.
