There's an interesting, if completely banal, story about George Friend in the current edition of Private Eye. Problem is that the story has practically nothing to say about George, but repeats a story that appears elsewhere and which the journo who started it seems to think has legs. It doesn't. It just raised the question about whether George is the first Exeter City related player to make it into Private Eye? Can anyone remember whether they picked up on the Russell & Lewis Story? In one of Private Eyes favourite phrases " I think we should be told"
