Isn’t it 5 loan signings in a matchday squad but as many as you like within the club?
Must be cause Plymuff Loangyle have loads on millions !

Getting more and more concerned that we don’t have a clause to send Harper back. GC clearly doesn’t want him, Ipswich certainly won’t be recalling him knowing they can’t loan him elsewhere. If he is costing the rumoured £3,000 a week that was a real desperate signing by KMT.
But equally you also have to ask why is it that a player can't get himself selectable? On paper despite the fortune we are paying Harper should have been a regular 1st team player

did he go back as a result of getting injured here? Like I said it was unsubstantiated
I don't believe he went back due to him getting injured with us. He was recalled by Watford due to their circumstances. Pollock wasn't pleased about it apparently.

He had been poor for both Ipswich and Crewe in League One, showing he probably isn’t the standard. Ipswich had MT’s pants down because we were struggling to get anyone in the door. There was potential clearly from his early days, but it’s not Harper’s fault we signed him knowing he’s been on a downward trajectory for years.

There's obviously a risk with most signings and looking at his pedigree KMT obviously thought we could get him playing. With the sale of Dieng and our struggles in the transfer market it's probably not worth sending him back.

I wonder if Harper is on a pay as you play loan deal - might explain GC's reluctance to play him if it's costing us a wedge each time (with little impact).

I must admit I was thinking that as well. Some deals do get structured this way, but I have no clue if this is one of them.

I’m guessing we were planning for life with Tim Dieng. So consider Harper as his replacement until will might be able to get one in.

Whilst it is nice to have Jokull back, the fact it is only 7 days suggests he is unwilling to come and sit on the bench, which is a shame as he would be good competition for Blackman on a season long loan and would allow Lee to get valuable game time on loan elsewhere.

I haven't seen Harper play, but if he's worse than Kegs' last two performances then we really have been lent a dud
