I dont think he was ever lazy. I think he was massively unfit and ergo, unprofessional!
Isn't that just being lazy in training, rather than on the pitch?

I was always amazed at how often he had to be subbed. He barely ever played 90 minutes and was usually blowing out of his rear end after about 60 mins. Smacks of a player that just didn't have the engine to play the game.
Anyone can be good for five minutes I seen Manc do it.

It depends on what was contributing to his lack of fitness.

IIRC he has had onging hip problems.

Some players just play through the pain, others are more vulnerable, more delicate or less motivated.

We rarely know all the facts.
