Gary Warren has agreed a deal with Torquay. Not much of a surprise I know, he did well there on loan and adds experience for them which is apparently needed.

Why do they never have an old player of the year award. There‘s still life in a lot of the older players and some of the older players performances over the season are worth a trophy, and a free bus pass.

as it’s Grimes -v- Watkins battling for a Wembley play off final place to seek to reach the Premiership, here is ( I think) rare footage of them playing together for the U18s . It is Matt who pulls the strings in midfield isn’t it?

Funny to think that both were born in the second half of 1995 ( but in different age groups) though seem from different City eras. That was because Matt emerged much younger than Ollie. The biggest contrast was their respective December 2014 moves; Matt to the Premiership, Ollie to Weston Super Mare on loan!

Fantastic seasons by both. Grimes Swansea captain.Ollie 25 league goals. But also their consistency and endeavour. Matt has amazingly played every minute of all 47 Championship games so far. Ollie has missed only ten minutes in total of Brentford’s 47 championship games; both times late subbed off on games already won courtesy of either a Watkins hat trick or Brentford’s five goals.

Whilst entirely true that Matt was an earlier developer than Ollie, i think he was also fast tracked somewhat given our financial position at the time.

Think that's right, also Grimes was always a more 'complete' player when he emerged with an obvious role in midfield. Ollie less so, and even recently has moved to a more central attacking role.

Worth also remembering Aidy Boothroyd's contribution in selecting him for the England U20s. That seemed crucial in showing how Grimes was at least the equal of any youngsters at Premier clubs.

Lee Martin has signed for Ebbsfleet who will play in National League South next year.

Some fall that. Not sure if they are part time or full time?

Thought he was a better player than that.

Remember they had foreign investment a few years ago, not sure if that’s still the case!
Should be a very good signing at that level, thought he was a still a football league player, but never really understood where he fit into our side.

Maybe a sign of the times? Any contract is a good contract when you're 33
