Other than when Satanage loaned him out to St Johnstone, I am pretty sure he has been based in London the whole time since he left us. At Portsmouth he was shown the door when a new manager was appointed who insisted that all players lived locally, and James wouldn't comply. He ended up going to Dagenham on loan, and then made permanent moves to first Cambridge and then Swindon, which are all within commutable range of London.

As cover at a Championship club,I would speculate that it’s 15k a week minimum.
