Robbie Simpson has appeared on the Undr the Cosh podcast, which is only available on Patreon. Seems a really nice and intelligent bloke. He’s now a financial advisor as well as running his Life After Professional Sport charity.

He talked briefly about his time here and said it was a happy time and we’re a good, well run club that had a nice team spirit.

He also said Tisdale was unsurprisingly different to any other manager he played under. Apparently Tisdale would hardly ever be around during pre season training as he’d more likely be watching a Test match or be at Wimbledon :censored:. And instead of calling players a c***, Tisdale would call you a “big yellow Jessie” if he was cross with you:LOL:

This sentence may well explain why in the last years of Tisdale we seemed to sign a lot of players of Robbie Simpson's standard.
