Couldn't agree more. That season we had two loanees in O'Shea and Ogbene. Neither played for the first few months but both were starting to break into the first team before the January window. O'Shea stayed, thrived and has since played loads in the Premiership. Ogbene went back to Brentford, didn't play and ended up getting sold. He might well have broken through in that half season - whoever made the call for him to return to Brentford got it seriously wrong.
Didn't Ogbene return to Brentford due to picking up an injury?

MT was quoted at the time as saying that Brentford recalled him so as to have a look at him, particularly to check on how he had developed.

He had played the day before for City, his seventh appearance in a month. He then played in Brentford's next three games.

So, no he wasn't injured when recalled by Brentford on 2 January

That report is dated October. A brief return to Brentford for that injury. But his loan to City then resumed and he played extensively for us before being recalled in the January. See the Soccerbase stats in my previous post
Ah, OK. I only did a quick check and that was the link that came up. :(

We will be facing Donovan Wilson next season as he has signed permanently for Sutton after spending last season on loan there
