True.

But their staff might have been better protected.

Some of them might even have been able to watch 30 large men throwing a giant egg around at Sandy Park.

And Tony Rowe might not have made a colossal ass of himself.

Being the size he is, that might have been literally impossible.... :)

Ryanair's Michael O'Leary says:

The German Government continues to ignore EU rules when it suits them to subsidise large German companies, but then lectures every other EU Government about respecting the rules when they ignore them.

Lucky Franco/German airlines.

They might even have been able to dip into the new government loan programme although I think that requires the business to show it is viable. Flybe was fooked before Coronavirus rocked up.
As the Proper Chap pointed out with such excellent foresight in October 2018 when he started this thread

Wait, so things we were told couldn’t happen in the EU can actually happen? Fancy that.

In more related news, I see that Bournemouth’s sponsor M88 have had their license revoked so they’ll wear no sponsor/a charity logo for the remaining games.

Blimey that’s a surprise. I’d be amazed if this happens.

The article quotes the airline as employing 2,000 and having flown 8,000 passengers a year. Presumably this is a classic piece of DevonLive misreporting/poor fact checking. Or else it's no wonder Flybe went bust.
