Looks like the points prediction thread will have to be merged with either October or December :(

Its only brutal if those sides are doing well come April. The league won't necessarily look like people think it will.
though I think having so many 'big games' together is bad news. Having Argyle,Derby, Wednesday in a week and Ipswich next will be tough whatever their form etc is .

And I don't like having to play away at Argyle in October a few days after what may be our 'biggest' away fixture at Derby. Especially as Argyle will have played Shrewsbury at home on that same date.

Seven games and over 2000 miles of travelling is brutal whoever we are playing; the fact that we are playing a number of teams who are expected to be in and around the top of the table just makes it even more brutal.

on a more positive note, there is history in playing Wednesday at home in December (their travelling fans won't like that!) and away toward the end of the season.

We must avoid a fixture pile up that would leave us having a rearranged fixture on the only available midweek date in April ie Tuesday 25th. Morecambe away is in December and if that gets postponed because of Northern winter weather then rearranging it for 25th April would bring April's mileage toward 3,000! March is light for fixtures so better to get rearranged games in then.

Easy start, could be up there by September ;). Could be Good to have the tough teams in April as they might have nothing to play for by then.

Playing the pasty shaggers in April could get very lively if were Both needing results 😂

Two home games in November, potential for two home games in the FA Cup as well!
Yep, we're one of 5 League One teams who play both league games at home in November. So presumably there are 5 teams who play both games away. And therefore could go through November without a home fixture either League or Cup.

November would have been a good month to ensure everyone had one home and one away game.
