As with everything connected to ECFC, there seems a very laid back approach. Board/Management etc.
It would seem that this approach is also taken by the local press.

After every game(a loss) the question to Tisdale seems to be "your thoughts on the game please Paul"
after the usual inane drivel that is spouted from Mr Tisdale..you know the stuff....I was quite pleased with our pattern....They(opposition) are entitled to try and score...we are really close to being Arsenal....blah blah the questions never penetrate the real issues that the reader/listener wants to hear.

For example, ANOTHER loss Paul, that's 4 on the spin.. do you think a different approach is needed ?
For 4 seasons, the locals have endured some pretty dire football, home form is pitiful. Surely the tactics have to be changed ?
You have a very large squad for League 2, but a lot of the squad aren't up to it,it would seem.. Why is that ?
How long do you think this can go on for?
We understand you are on a 2 year rolling contract.. Do you think it's possibly time to move aside and let the club move on ?

you get the idea !
Ask some questions that your readers want to hear the answers to. NOT, what you feel safe with.

Unlikely to happen unless things get a lot worse. Local journos need the co-operation of the Club. So they are not going to rock the boat.

Ask Torquay or Aldershot how much worse it can get.

Exactly.. that's why questions need to be asked now, not when we are so far gone, nobody will even bother reading match reports and comments from the Lord.

Backing Gary Caldwell, thanks Matt and good luck.
Liverpool is a special case , but if league results and performances don't pick up I would agree with this.

If it did happen though Tisdale would get the hump big time. Agree with JW that the local Journos won't take this sort of line.

Maybe that's why the 'local journos' remain Local. successful media people aren't scared of asking the question. that's what makes them stand out from the 'line toers@ !
The club need the local press as much as the press need the club.

At most clubs, the press instigate a lot that happens. ie managerial changes

LOL. Nothing that gets in the papers anyway.

Amended for factuals.
