Not really much choice for Perez though who’s very unfortunate to be losing his seat at Racing Point (Aston Martin) to Vettel...Hulkenberg made a big impression at the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix at Silverstone and deserves much better machinery than Haas but would probably take it after a year out.
There isn't many seats left available apart from Haas and Alfa. Either would be a big step down for Checo. I wonder if he might fancy a go at Indy Cars. Zac Brown at Arrows McLaren have already shown interest. His Mexican following would be huge in that series although he would be a real loss to F1 now the Mexican GP is established again.

I can understand why Racing Point/AM want Seb for commercial reasons and they are probably holding out that a new challenge might spark him again. If he doesn't outdrive Stroll though....even though Lance is doing better and improving.

Honda are pulling out of F1 at the end of 2021 leaving Red Bull and Alpha Tauri without an engine deal. Mercedes and Ferrari already supply five teams between them as well as themselves. With McLaren running Mercedes engines from next year, it leaves Renault only powering there own car and under F1 rules they would be obliged to supply Red Bull and Alpha Tauri in 2022 if Mercedes and Ferrari don't want to. Both of them have refused to supply Red Bull very recently.

Just as well Red Bull kept a good relationship with Renault when they dumped them to take up Honda then. Oh, oops 🤦.

Would be good, I’d like to see Hamilton go to Ferrari after he’s broken all of Schuey’s records.

Hard to read what Hamilton will do after 2021. I don't see him going to Ferrari though. He has too much invested in being a Mercedes brand man (even when at McLaren remember) to go there. Also Ferrari never want two lead drivers and they have nailed their colours to Leclerc for the next four years.

Lewis is 36 in January. I think break the records and walk away even though he is showing no signs of decline. He is increasingly into environmental issues which doesn't exactly sit easily alongside F1 and is getting into E-Racing with his new team he is creating. Walk away with the records and let the next generation fight it out.

Hamilton equals Schumacher's 91 race win record and steps nearer to the record equaling title with Bottas DNF. Tattoo time at Renault as Danny Ric gets his overdue podium. The Hulk comes from the sofa to eighth via last in qualifying whilst still trying to remember what does what and goes where 🙂. Vettel gets beaten by Grosjean and Gio 🤦 and is a way off of Leclerc.

Nice touch to have Mick presenting one of Michael's Mercedes helmets to Lewis and nice words as well by Lewis.

Interesting that Martin Brundle hinted we may see Hulkenberg in a Red Bull soon. Very unlucky for Lando to suffer a mechanical with the podium in sight....the limited number of spectators looked to be a lot more Covid secure than in Russia.

German efficiency.

Max could really challenge next season but he does need a teammate who can back him up and take points off of Mercedes when the opportunity arises. Both Gasly and Albon are good drivers as they have shown at Toro Rossi/Alpha Tauri but that second Red Bull seat isn't working for them. They have no one else ready in their system yet. So Hulkenberg and Perez are available and an option to maybe prove one way or the other what is the problem. Most drivers on the grid will struggle to match Max unless you are Danny Ric standard but happy to play second fiddle. That doesn't happen.

There's a thread called "Exeter on Sarries" on the "Northampton Saints Rugby Forum" which discusses the new book by the Guardian's Robert Kitson on the Exeter Chiefs which once again highlights the Saracen's outrageous behaviour regarding the breaches of the salary cap. Knowing your interest in Formula One I have brought it to your attention as one of the thread's correspondents claim that Ferrari cheated all last season and that it was something to do with the engine? By the way he talks it seems that those that control F1.com are just as secretive as was Premiership Rugby back in 2015 when salary cap discrepancies first came to light.
