Play off revenue;

The income generated from the play-offs is shared between the four participating clubs and the rest of League Two - this is called the Pool Account and money is paid out depending on the position each club finishes in League Two.
Sky TV money from the play-offs including the final is not paid to the four clubs but to the Football League.

The four teams taking part in the semi-finals will equally share 50% of the income from the four games, the other 50% goes into the Pool Account.

The two teams in the play-off final will share 50% of the income generated (not the TV money) and the other 50% goes into the Pool Account.
So the more people who turn up for the matches will be the best for you. Going by average attendances this season the fixture which will get the biggest attendance at Wembley will be Argyle (3rd in League 2 with 7,412) and Southend (5th with 6,024).

Backing Gary Caldwell, thanks Matt and good luck.
Didn't know this. Any idea if this is a new thing or not? Better than nothing, as the op says best scenario is argyle v Southend with the very nice Mr Brown leading Southend to promotion.

So that win against the Daggers to secure tenth place WAS worth something tangible after all! :p

Yep a small consolation, shame the previous four games where the reward was bigger didn't get the same result.

Based on average attendances not the best final for you.

50% of the revenue from ticket sales (average ticket price at Plymouth was revealed to be £11) and Sky (apparently £100,000 per match in the semi's) is shared between the rest of the 20 league 2 clubs. The total attendance for the semi’s was 36,106. Based on these figures from the semi's of the play offs £398,583 will be shared between the remaining 20 clubs, the amount each club gets depends on league position (but if it was shared out equally you lot would of got £19,929.15 from the play off semi's)
