With regard to the match commentary there have been times when we have had to accept it was the away commentary or nothing but in the past the away commentators have showed respect for home supporters and provided a simple unbiased commentary of the game as opposed to as these two did ignoring how City supporters were feeling and literally rubbing our noses into the proverbial unforgivable and very unprofessional sincerely hoping that on Saturday Blackpool will bring them back down to earth with a resounding bump.

Is tonight embarrassing.......yes!

However; I'm of the mindset that we take it for what it was, which was basically (especially at the end) our youth team playing against a Reading team which was far too strong for us and our Academy players got found out to some extent. Doesn't mean that none of them will become good players for us, but does highlight that at this moment in time the majority of them are no where near ready. Again, this is to be expected and not a criticism of them.

At least Kyle Taylor got his first start in 18 months and other players got some much needed minutes in Scott, Watts, Fitzwater which was important.

We need to move on quickly and if we get a positive result on Saturday (I'd certainly take a draw), then everyone is smiling again!!

And how much do you want to spend on squad depth so we can compete in a competition that no one gives a shit about?
I think you miss the point somewhat

The manager was blameless. The players couldn't cope. End of! He can't wipe all their asses indefinitely. He could have picked a more experienced team yo help, but Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday matches coming up. I understand why he didn't. Sometimes shit happens. Just gotta deal with it.
Of course he’s not blameless, he picked the players that couldn’t cope, and presumably these players were ones he sees every day in training so ought to have a bit of an inkling as to how they’d perform in the first team.

Remember we beat Cheltenham 7-1 in the League Cup for them to then come to our place and take all 3 points in the league. We’ve already taken 3 points off Reading in what really matters the league. Learning curve for all involved on and off the pitch. We move on together. UTC

Here and there
Having just got back home, a few things are at the forefront of my mind.
*As for the players on the pitch, individually, there were some promising signs in most of the young blood. Unfortunately there was almost zero cohesion and, most of the time, everyone was doing their own thing.
*Whatever the question is, neither James Scott nor Gary Woods are the answer.
*It's fascinating that some of those who had expressed zero interest in this competition are suddenly concerned at the scoreline.
*The big bank vocal contingent kept going and were great entertainment, despite their depleted numbers.
*0-9 in the Trophy that shall not speak its name? So what?

I wouldn’t submit an application for a role in our academy if I was you.

Not going to bother with iFollow again if RD not providing a commentary.
I find Radio Devon's commentary so poor that I fairly often listen to the opposing team's commentary when watching via IFollow. Tonight's commentary was uncharacteristic and complete garbage
