Fair enough but GC could and should set the the team up differently and had some kind of back up plan to avoid such a catastrophic performance.
The manager was blameless. The players couldn't cope. End of! He can't wipe all their asses indefinitely. He could have picked a more experienced team yo help, but Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday matches coming up. I understand why he didn't. Sometimes shit happens. Just gotta deal with it.

Stupid comment. BBC provide the commentary to Ifollow, which is an independent company that pays exeter city for the facility of using ecfc games to make themselves money. Just to reiterate, it is totally independent of exeter city.
Of course it is the problem arose because RD decided not to provide any live commentary and limit their involvement to just providing up dates.

What a bizarre post. I'm guessing that if we'd won 2-0 you'd have (rightly) assigned some of the credit to the manager?

If choosing a transfer strategy that neglected to recognise the need for squad depth is 'shit happening' then I guess we may as well close the forum.

Look on the bright side. Could have gone to penalties.

Not one player who played tonight will start on Saturday, and only a couple will make the bench.

It really doesn't matter. What matters is getting something from Saturdays game.

Manager blameless ? Why not give Shaun McDonald a chance to impress at SJP - surely he couldn't do any worse than Woods?

It doesn’t matter too much, however what is important is that our depth is not there at all. As seen vs Orient, an injury crisis could still send us down as these kids are not at the level required. Much harder to do the academy thing at League 1.

Almost like we need to evolve a bit.

Careful this logical thinking will get the super fans restless

And how much do you want to spend on squad depth so we can compete in a competition that no one gives a shit about?
