Someone's got to start it, late as it is. Some retribution for the gut- wrenching loss when we last played Pompey in this would be welcome!
COYR, and good luck to all players selected

The weather isn't going to help! It's currently 6c, but feels much colder. There's a brisk north westerly breeze blowing in very heavy rain showers, which are regular and very heavy. We've had 4mm of rain up to 10:00 this morning, and the barometer suggests a change in wind direction (possibly to WNW) which might halt the showers later, but for all that it's a raw January day. There's 50% grey cloud cover, but not much sign of the sun breaking through as it dd yesterday. A cold night to be on the Big Bank. Update around 18:00.

I'll be investing a tenner, hopefully it won't be a complete waste of money.

Good news; It's stopped raining. Bad news; The wind has gone back to NW, and it's 6c but feels a lot colder. The barometer is still showing a likely change in wind direction, but it's unlikely to happen during the course of the game, and probably, when it does change - it'll start raining again. Don't 'cha just love English weather in January? Likely outcome? Who knows? It'll probably depend on what sort of teams both sides are able to put out.

Based on this, it looks like we only have Nombe and hartridge as regular starters who are still injured.

Sweens back earlier than I thought he would be. Good to see Taylor instead of Tim; I thought the latter looked a bit tired on Tuesday and Taylor could do with another chance to show us what he's got...
