Not so easy for the taker to change what he's gonna do at the last minute, Chappy. Imo from the keeper's perspective he should never move until the last second, hence putting all the pressure onto the penalty taker to take a good one. What can't be argued is that Jay takes them and scores them.

If a goalkeeper waits until the last second, you only have to take a decent one rather than a good one. Anything towards a corner with a half decent contact will go in. Shilton used to do this and was crap at saving pens.

It's psychological. Normally the penalty- taker should score anyway. The only tactic the keeper can use is to put doubt in the taker's mind. .
Yes, it helps if the ball crosses the line, although rebounds are ok, too. Ask Alonso

than the parts of the body to which you might be referring. ..
