Strong team midweek effecting key player availability (i.e. Reid) check.

Defending which would make school boys grimace on more than one occasion, check.

Game over before half hour mark (by 10 minute mark today was some going I must admit) check.

At least two players used out of position, with one hopelessly so in centre-midfield, check.

Simpson recalled at earliest opportunity and in turn team posing zero threat, check.

Lost at home to a poor team which didn't have to do anything to win, check.

Imbalanced squad exposed again, check.

It's so predictable it's boring.
Whilst i can't disagree with most of this, a couple of things:

Reid's unavailability had nothing to do with him playing on Tuesday.

It was more like 7 minutes than 10 before the game was over.

If only they'd started the scoreboard clock five minutes early, rather than late, it would have been a whole 12 minutes.

It's a hand injury of some sort that may have had or need an operation.

Training ground then? I heard he picked up a knock versus Chelsea... Thanks for clarification anyway I put 2 and 2 together and clearly came up with 5.

On today's performance, I'd have a one-legged Reid ahead of Simpson. Certainly wouldn't have left him out on the basis of a sore finger! ;-)

Backing Gary Caldwell, thanks Matt and good luck.
In pictures from Barnet he had his fingers strapped up, so possibly broken. Someone on Facebook reckoned he had had an op, and was out for ten days but no idea if that is accurate.

If so and the op was midweek hopefully he could make Morecambe away. When we discussed it yesterday we did wonder if an op was planned that that may have been the reason he played in the week? Although Tisdale was also quoted saying he wanted to play the same side as at Barnet so who knows.
