I was there my first footballing hero, whether playing for City or otherwise, was Charlie McClelland.

I also liked the 3 old pennies for the 1949 programme.
As I recall, this had only risen to 4d by the early 60s.

I was there my first footballing hero, whether playing for City or otherwise, was Charlie McClelland.
My mother remembered him for his spotless shorts! :)

Where have the missing seven thousand gone from the crowd? Not that we could take that size crowd nowadays
