A great game against a decent top flight team....The Grecians don’t get a sniff of a 2nd round League Cup game these days let alone the 4th round.

I remember getting home after the game & turning on Sportsnight(The Grecians played on a Wednesday in those days) After the Boxing,highlights of Watford’s win at Old Trafford were shown,which was a big shocker with Watford being in the same division as the Grecians.
Westward TV had a camera at SJP.I can remember seeing the goals again the next evening with Chris Fear waxing lyrical about the performance.
