My only direct contact with Dacre was when I found out quite late on that I was able to go to the Kings Lynn FA Trophy tie, too late to organise a ticket - he was unable to go himself so he sent me his ticket. He wouldn't take a penny for it, only asking instead that I put some cash in the Trust bucket at the match (which I would have done anyway but I emptied my wallet of all change that night).

In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
30 years ago today. The League Cup 4th Round replay against Sunderland at Roker Park.
Walter, Hiley, Harrower, McNichol, Taylor, Whitehead, Rowbotham, Bailey, Batty, Neville, and Benjamin. Subs: M Cooper and Coyle

A nice evening out at the famous old ground despite losing 5-2.
Got back to Exeter at 0530.Nearly not at all, after ‘Psycho’ our regular driver with Dartline nearly had a accident on the A1(M) I really thought he was going to roll the coach down the embankment on a slip road doing 60mph.
He was also driving too fast in Fog,I dare not drop off in case I did not open my eyes again..Crazy incident.
Besides that, good memories with my regular fellow travellers from those days.

Tony Coyle! A salutary reminder never to make important decisions when cleaning windows 😀.

On behalf of Dacrea's family can I say a heart felt thank-you for the preceeding kind words, his sudden passing shocked us all and he has left an enduring legacy, not only within his family but also within the ECFC family.
He would be so proud to see SJP as it is today, he told many a Porkie to the ECC Safety Officer to get the OG through it's safety inspections!

One of my favourite games over the last few seasons played in downpours of rain with Lee Holmes truly on 🔥 that day.

And not forgetting DW's two goal line clearances in the first half.

Or Ampadu being booked while warming up for kickkng the ball away.

All in all, a grand day out!

Plus Tisdale's oilskin coat that made him look like the grim reaper. To me anyway.
