England reminded me of ECFC huffing and puffing and getting nowhere against dross such as Barrow and Southend.

Harry Kane looks like he can't be arsed. Isolated, lethargic, weak.

Ollie must be feeling furious watching that performance.
Out of character for Harry not to be arsed but he is most definitely out of sorts, lethargic and not firing. Possibly wondering why he was so daft as to sign a six year contract with Spurs.

Great crowd in Budapest for it too…end to end match in Munich between Portugal and Germany…Germany looking pretty decent leading 2:1 at HT.

If England were in this group, I know where we'd be.

A clueless and insipid performance devoid of any pace, passion or creativity and after the performance against Croatia it does beg the question as to whether as a group we approached the game with the right mental attitude.

Scotland had a plan and the passion, fought for the cause and deserved at least a point.

Pickford only player to perform to his billing far less hyper and clearly benefiting from the decision he made to seek psychiatric support to help him be more calm on the pitch. Superb save towards end of first half to palm away a well hit shot from Stephen O’ Donnell heading for the bottom left corner of the net.

James, Stones and Mings had decent games but Shaw offered very little.

The midfield was virtually non existent with Philips in particular having far less influence on the game than he did against Croatia.

Foden and Mount mostly flattered to deceive.

Kane and Sterling offered very little attacking threat up front with Sterling back to playing the way he had been prior to the purple patch he had enjoyed during the WC in Russia.

Grealish despite coming on with 23 minutes of normal time still to play never really seemed to get into the game.

We will probably still get out of the group but will have to play considerably better to progress further regardless of who we end up playing against.

A draw against the Czech Republic would probably be the best thing that could happen for England at the moment.

Without a paddle or a map too.
