Would Jason Roy be better coming in at No 3? That is also a trouble spot in the batting line up and a bit of the new ball could be used up. It would still mean finding another opener (Dom Sibley maybe, having a good season although I haven't seen much of him) but would keep Root in his favoured no 4 slot.
A fair shout. The Surrey head coach Michael di Venuto has suggested Roy would be best at 4 while Roy himself says he would prefer to open or come in first wicket down.

Roy to open, please. If he wants it he gets it. He's proven he can handle the pressure and his attack- minded approach can put the opponents on the back foot. He's confident. Would rather have a problem at no.4 than at opener

Bit of a tail in that mind.
Fooooooooking way too long. If Stark gets stuck into our batters we could get rolled over by lunch.

If he's playing he just has to open.

The bugger would march out first whatever the captain says.

Geoffrey will do as I tell him.

To be fair I'm struggling for another player. I don't want Broad in the side and Rashid isn't up to it.

I think your bowling might be a bit lacking TPC. Bowling all rounder needed ?
