I had thought they might have scrapped it for this season, especially as it doesn't have a sponsor

Matchday 1 - 8/9 September 2020

Matchday 2 - 6/7 October 2020

Matchday 3 - 10/11 November 2020

Round of 32 - 8/9 December 2020

Round of 16 - 12/13 January 2021

Quarter-Finals - 2/3 February 2021

Semi-Finals - 16/17 February 2021

Final - 14 March 2021

The academy teams they've invited

  • Arsenal
  • Aston Villa
  • Brighton & Hove Albion
  • Chelsea
  • Fulham
  • Leeds United
  • Leicester City
  • Liverpool
  • Manchester City
  • Manchester United
  • Newcastle United
  • Norwich City (EFL)

Surely the PL are still "paying", or if not why are the EFL still inviting their Academy sides ?

I guess that is the reason why the competition is viable, but I was hoping for some relief from so many games.

Or not as the case may be if fans not allowed back

Yes, I nearly amended my post to say that, but the third match day is in November, so fingers crossed that by then...

If fans aren't allowed back in, I'd like to think that the club are doing everything in their power to develop a streaming service. Am I right in thinking that the efl trophy games already have a streaming service that is run by the efl?

Surely there are no fans for EFTL matches, COVID-19 or not!

Incredible they are still trying to play this, with no sponsors obligations

Are they still going to play last season's final?!
