Those are great comments to read
Indeed; especially as the scoreline and twitter feed about Tivvy's defending might suggest the opposite! Looking forward to write ups for those Exewebbers who follow Tivvy when ECFC away/not playing.

When is/was Ed's 18th birthday? Its a real challenge being a central defender at this level when you're still eligible for U18 football.IIRC Alfie Pond had a bit of a difficult time when first attempting the same, and was worth half a million quid a few months later.

Time for his wiki and soccer base entries to be updated...wiki doesn't yet have his league debut mentioned.

I can’t find his birth date anywhere but I’m guessing he is one of the younger 2nd year scholars because two seasons ago he was selected for a Wales under 15’s training camp alongside Alfie Cunningham who has played for Wales under 17’s this season.

thanks. IIRC international age groups run from January-December rather than September-August which would mean he was still under 18 as of 1 January (is that right?)

I think the age groups for youth football in this country is set from from the start of the season [August 1st] and international football, as you say, 1st January.

thanks - the youth football age group may well explain some puzzlement I'd had about which year Archie Collins was in (birthday 31 August).
