Where can I find a bit of factual history on when we started using a club crest on our shirts? In the Grecian Archive team photos it shows the white kit of 1967/68 with the old castle crest on the black and red shield, then nothing until the eighties (I think). I have a retro shirt that is supposed to be early seventies but has the same crest as the 67/68 shirt. Are there some good images of our badge history? Appreciate any help on this.

It’s not an original. It’s a Toffs retro shirt. I’m more interested in the history of the badge. Cheers.

Check this website out: http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Exeter_City/Exeter_City.htm

Not sure how accurate it is, but it should at least be a good starting point.

Thanks. Yes, I had seen this site but it doesn’t quite agree with the team photos of that period on the Grecian Archive site.

Well this article is a bit of tease https://thebeautifulhistory.wordpress.com/clubs/654-2/. Would be a lot more useful if it gave some dates.
