DW is not yer typical footballer, of course, but I agree 100%.

I hope ECFC don't choose a gambling firm as shirt spnsor. Ever.

"Please gamble responsibly" Ha, ha!

This is one of those things where public opinion counts for nothing. I'm sure the vast majority of people, like me, would be only too happy to see all gambling ads on TV banned, even if they like a bet sometimes (like me).

The Gambling Commission are currently looking for 6 new Commissioners. Perhaps DW will apply...

I totally agree in principle.

But our own resident matchday day bookie Al has always landed a few quid (albeit merely "virtual" ones)

So if he wanted to bung some of his ill-gotten in I might not be totally adverse to "Tebburn Turf Accountants" on the front of the new shirt...and "sponsored by Jaffa Cakes & Ginger Nuts" on the back.

From memory, I believe the TB agreed several years ago to advise the club not to accept betting sponsorship or advertising where we have the control.

From memory we took less from Carpetright for this exact reason.~

I wholeheartedly support us not taking gambling companies money and wish the wider football community would do the same.
