COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP PREDICTION COMPETITION

The current position is:

1. Alistair 20000 16 points with 4 correct placings
2. Jason H 16 points and 3 correct placings
3. Greyhound 20 points and 4 correct placings
4. HH12 28 points and 1 correct placing
5. andrew p long 44 points and no correct placings.

We are close to half way through and it looks fairly certain Northants will be real strugglers

Current "points outage" for the teams combining all five forecasts is:

Hants 4
Northants 4
Middlesex 7
Kent 10
Somerset 10
Notts 12
Surrey 12
Essex 18
Lancs 21
Warwicks 26

We have all underestimated Warwicks who have a game in hand of Sorry and I am sure Lancs who we have overestimated so far will climb the table.

Looking a beautiful day for the baseball at the County Ground tonight with Hampshire commencing their defence of the crown.

They have a generally poor T20 record at this ground but a James Vince masterclass was the reason for a rare Somerset defeat last year. Benny Howell and Brad Wheal both out injured so advantage Somerset I think.

The email from Somerset advising the squad refers to a Tom Baton. Hope he has a bat and not a baton TBH :)

Players no longer required by England have a habit of picking on Somerset !

With luck we'll see a Baton charge, and he'll get 100.

They have done nothing to dispel that so far tonight 27 For 5

Also I think if you are called Tom you have a good chance of representing Somerset in the T20 ;)

Bit of a massacre, and a conundrum for Al, half happy and half wracked with despair ?

Happy for Somerset and Hampshire got what they deserved for an utterly pathetic batting “performance“

The London Derby in the baseball at Lord’s this evening.

Can Middlesex do better than in the red ball ?

Will Sorry dominate the group stage ?

Will it be a sporting pitch ?

And the biggest question of all: will Jason be making the scene ?
