To be fair, Northant's second innings did seem to be a Comedy of Errors.

Just a shame that the Grecians couldn't come up with The Taming of the Shrew(s) in the last away game !

Middlesex about to clinch victory against Leicestershire - the end delayed by the fact the Leicestershire #11 walked out to bat without his box.

Once we knock the last one over promotion is in our hands next week.
The Welsh are pressing your boys hard Jason

Yep Somerset won’t be playing red ball cricket at the kiddies table next season.

Yaarkshire, Kent and Warwickshire left to battle it out to join Gloucestershire for the drop.

In other news the River Stand at the County Ground is to be renamed the James Hildreth Stand. (y)

Reports of Mark Wood bowling at speeds of up to 97 mph this week. Hope he doesn't shake himself to bits.

Made a difference last night. Rip-snorting bouncer that whizzed past Babar Azam's grill who then fended at another short ball that went right down Reece Topley's throat at third man. Broke that all important Babar and Rizwan partnership.

Whatever happens today, the Cidermen have finished more strongly than they did last year, or they'd have been down. The batting has held up when it mattered.

Cidermen 195 for 9. He's a good lad, young Goldsworthy. Hope he can get to 100 tomorrow.

3 late wickets for no runs including 2 off the last 2 balls. Jack Brooks to face the hat trick ball tomorrow. Another good fightback with Craig Overton supporting Lewis Goldsworthy with a 79 run partnership. As you say, LG deserves a century.
