No matter how much rejoicing in my heart over that shower's plight, in a match report on lack of proceedings at Taunton, then "Sorry 4th" may have had slightly more relevance ! :)

The Beeb has always had a deep love affair with Middlesex...and love is never having to say Sorry!

Stands to reason, a surfeit of middle management leads to a lot of Middlesex 😉

No play before lunch but an inspection at 12:30 at the County Ground. Let's home for some play.

No Craig Overton, and Banton keeping wicket. Sorry 16 for 0 after 6.3overs.

Now 88-1. I fear a huge Surrey total if the rain stays away.

Craig bowled his heart out in the last match.

No Jack Leach either :(

Hampshire with another strong batting performance I see

As an aside the Surrey Chief Exec is leaving after a decade to go to Brizzle City. Richard Gould, son of Bobby.

Yes, he couldn't be expected to carry that sort of load all the time, especially as he has to do his share to prop up the batting as well.

So far so good for Sorry. :(

Yep utterly pitiful even allowing for bowler friendly conditions. Just as serious, letting the last 3 Middlesex wickets put on 72.
