I think that we will be doing well if we are still batting after lunch tomorrow ! :(
Well made it to lunch which was taken on the fall of the 7th wicket (116-7). Root 33no but just Moeen, Broad and Stone left to trudge out from the Pavillion and then back again !

Received wisdom is that first use of a spinning pitch is rather important for the batting side in India.

We made good use of the pitch first time up in the previous test.

Not doubting that they have better spinners than us though.
Similar events in the Manchester test in 1956. England batted first and got a good score on a turning pitch. Then Jim Laker took over.

I'm not sure if the Aussie squeals have fully died down, even now.

following through
Moeen off home after finally getting a game. Be very surprised if he played test cricket again. He doesn't seem to have had the appetite for it for quite a while

Caught up with a bit of PSL on Sky and good to see Lewis Gregory hitting an unbeaten 49 from 32 balls to steer Islamabad home to what was looking a bit of an unlikely chase when he came in at 74/5 (soon to be 74/6). Ended up getting to the target of 151 with six balls and three wickets to spare. Hitting 19 runs off of the last five balls of the 19th over helped him. He also picked up two handy wickets.

The two Tom's Abell and Banton are also out there I think playing from a Somerset perspective as well as Babar Azam.

Now safely converted to HF68
Not looking good 112 All Out - 9 Wickets to Spinners of which they have picked 3 and we just the 1
